Fable by Carol Simone, Paintings by Betsy Podlach
Love, Fleur is the story of the awakening and evolution of a one-of-a-kind alien flower destined for greatness who dies at a young age and lands in Lemuria, a pre-Atlantean civilization, where goddesses live and train other goddesses-to-be. She signs up to take the post of the Goddess of Flowers and travels with her mentor, Gaia, the Goddess of the Earth, with the grand plan of healing the earth. She comes to life in her grieving mother’s garden. There, she meets up with Ralph, a well-meaning, super goofy bloodhound who becomes Fleur’s hero; and Queen Esme, a sexy, swaggering, rap-singing skunk who dispels the mean-spirited energies of Fleur’s garden neighbors with one powerful Whoosh.
From Gaia, Fleur learns how to channel universal Light from the Source and travels into the spirits of every being in the garden by becoming one with them. From these intimate interactions Fleur blossoms into a sixty-foot dahlia goddess with hundreds of quirky, unique bouquets. Each mystical bud transmits a kind of magic that heals everyone it encounters, taking them into adventures that shift their realities forever.
Love, Fleur is a timeless tale of personal and collective empowerment that shows how we can save ourselves and the earth in a whimsical, inspirational way… think E.T. meets The Goddess in Every Woman. Sixty-five original watercolors are masterfully rendered by New York fine artist, Betsy Podlach.
