“We are here to awaken from our illusion of separateness.”

Returning to Yourself Is a Sacred Journey

My work has always been about creating a space where we can become still enough to listen deeply, reconnect with ourselves, and remember what we already know.

I have had the most blessed of lives. The first years were very challenging but because of the circumstances, I was forced to rise out of the chaos and bond with Nature and the higher guidance that surrounded me as a child. The wind in the trees, the soft breathing of my puppy’s breath against my cheek, and music and poetry of all kinds helped me persevere. Actually, all animals, and their wellbeing became my passion even when I was very little. They were my angels – pups, birds, kitties, raccoons, snakes…you name it. They were my family along with the natural world.

From a childhood and teenage years surviving  Manhattan, I came to San Francisco in the seventies as a hippie, and commune mama, hoping to find “true freedom”. I studied with various teachers, published poetry and journalism, and hung out with revolutionary teachers and antiwar activists of that time.

And then, I shifted again. A decade later I owned an ad agency for several years in a stressful, burgeoning Silicon Valley, eventually burned out, and fled to Maui. There, swimming in the soft, restorative, turquoise waves of Napili Bay, on the North Shore, I encountered the energies of Quan Yin, the ancient Goddess or Bodhisattva of Compassion on the ocean floor who transmitted her unconditional love into my being. My whole life shifted. I began to hear Her peaceful words speaking from another realm and I knew in my soul that my destiny was being born. I left my profession and began sitting with people, giving private sessions, channeling her words. Since the eighties, I have had the honor of meeting with over thirty-five thousand people from all over the world.

Years passed and, I attended a meditation retreat in Marin County where Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh was speaking. He led us in an “apple meditation” where, with eyes closed, we all remembered that every living being was embodied in the apple we held in our hands: the sun, the rain, the ocean, our earth, the hands of the person who picked the apple. Everything and everyone. I took a bite from the apple and tasted Oneness for the first time in my life. From that time on, I have been immersed in His teachings and tried to bring them into my consciousness and to those who choose to come along the path with me. Whenever I feel disconnected from the earth I hear Thich Nhat Hanh’s gentle words: “Walk as if you are kissing the earth with your feet.”  And when I do life is beautiful and I stay peaceful in each moment.

For the past forty years, my passion has been helping people feel safe, comfortable, and deserving at the deepest levels so they can experience more self-love, beauty, joy, balance, acceptance, prosperity, divine love and inner peace.

Sometimes that means meditation or guided imagery or working with the vibrations of sound and color. Other times it might be energy work, hypnotherapy or exploring an old wound that meets the moment. And sometimes what is needed most is simply someone who will listen deeply to your story…someone to be championed. Whatever practice is warranted, I could never express how thrilling it is for me to watch people open, blossom, and bloom in my presence. Every shift I have the privilege of co-experiencing is a deep healing, one that I will always treasure.

My work with Quan Yin is about creating enough stillness and presence to really hear the different parts of ourselves — to discover the part we may have lost touch with and welcome him or her home.

Ultimately, for you, it is about returning to yourself. I hope you will Join me.

My Passion, My Vision

I believe we all need, at times, permission to move forward - to rise out of feeling stuck, find our way when we are lost at a crossroads, or simply allow ourselves to become more fully who we are.

We need to be championed.

My passion is helping people feel safe, comfortable and deserving at the deepest levels, so they can experience more self-love, beauty, joy, balance, prosperity, divine love and inner peace.

Sometimes that means meditation or guided imagery. Sometimes it's energy work, hypnotherapy or exploring an old wound. And sometimes what is needed most is simply someone who will listen deeply to your story.

For me, the work is about creating enough stillness and presence to really hear the different parts of ourselves — to discover the part we may have lost touch with and welcome it home.

Ultimately, it is about returning to yourself.

"May you be safe.

May you be peaceful.

May you be free.

May you be the love you are."

My Passion, My Vision

And sometimes, the journey includes a good laugh.

A Little More About Me

For more than forty years, my private practice in Northern California has been devoted to helping people explore spirituality, self-discovery, and the deeper dimensions of life.

Writing has also been an important part of my journey. My books include The Goddess of 5th Avenue, The Kiss of the Shaman, Networks: An Anthology of San Francisco Bay Area Women Poets, Being a Flower, I Return to Myself, and Why Women Wear Hats. My Goddess in Your Mirror Oracle & Playbook was published in 2026.

Alongside my private practice and writing, I offer an apprenticeship for women exploring self-sovereignty and inner peace. The teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh and Quan Yin, the Goddess of Compassion, continue to inspire and guide my life and work.

“Simone is a wonderful voice for Quan Yin.”

My Journey with Quan Yin

THE GODDESS OF COMPASSION

My relationship with Quan Yin began in 1990 when a female form of shimmering purple light glided toward me on Maui's ocean floor and fixed her dark eyes directly into mine, transmitting a love so pure my whole being shivered and let go. My body became liquid, every cell immersed in an ocean of light.

That encounter began a lifelong journey with Quan Yin. Over the years, I have come to know her in many forms and under many names, yet her spirit belongs to no single tradition. She is free and unencumbered, like love itself — a great mirror reflecting our utter lovability.

And perhaps the most beautiful part of this journey is its simplicity and Her voice…

“ I am the one who brushes my lips across your cheeks as you sleep.

I am the one who envelopes you in light during the most perilous of times.

I am the one who listens to your prayers, whenever you call.

I am the one who delivers you from the doorway of death to the gateway of ever lasting life.”
