Returning to Yourself Is a Sacred Journey

My work has always been about creating a space where we can become still enough to listen deeply, reconnect with ourselves, and remember what we already know.

My Passion

I believe we all need, at times, permission to move forward - to rise out of feeling stuck, find our way when we are lost at a crossroads, or simply allow ourselves to become more fully who we are.

We need to be championed.

My passion is helping people feel safe, comfortable and deserving at the deepest levels, so they can experience more self-love, beauty, joy, balance, prosperity, divine love and inner peace.

Sometimes that means meditation or guided imagery. Sometimes it's energy work, hypnotherapy or exploring an old wound. And sometimes what is needed most is simply someone who will listen deeply to your story.

For me, the work is about creating enough stillness and presence to really hear the different parts of ourselves — to discover the part we may have lost touch with and welcome it home.

Ultimately, it is about returning to yourself.

My Journey with Quan Yin

THE GODDESS OF COMPASSION

My relationship with Quan Yin began in 1990 when a female form of shimmering purple light glided toward me on Maui's ocean floor and fixed her dark eyes directly into mine, transmitting a love so pure my whole being shivered and let go. My body became liquid, every cell immersed in an ocean of light.

That encounter began a lifelong journey with Quan Yin. Over the years, I have come to know her in many forms and under many names, yet her spirit belongs to no single tradition. She is free and unencumbered, like love itself — a great mirror reflecting our utter lovability.

And perhaps the most beautiful part of this journey is its simplicity.

Close your eyes, open your heart and whisper, "Quan Yin, please,

And sometimes, the journey includes a good laugh.

Together with longtime friend Dorothy Tyo, Simone co-hosts Two Ancient Semi-Enlightened Broads,…a spirited series of conversations about life, spirituality, metaphysics, healing—and the wisdom, questions and laughter they’ve gathered along the way.

A Little More About Simone

Carol Simone — known to her students and clients simply as Simone — has been in private practice in Northern California for more than forty years as a Spiritual Catalyst, working with seekers in spirituality and the metaphysical arts.

She is the author of The Goddess of 5th Avenue, The Kiss of the Shaman, Networks: An Anthology of San Francisco Bay Area Women Poets, Being a Flower, I Return to Myself, and Why Women Wear Hats.Goddess in Your Mirror Oracle & Playbook appeared in 2026.

Simone also teaches an apprenticeship for women exploring self-sovereignty and inner peace. Her work is devoted to the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh and to Quan Yin, the Goddess of Compassion.
